Matt Jones is an experienced technical SEO, currently offering freelance consultancy. He offers Technical SEO, Analytics and Reporting consultancy, working with a range of businesses to help grow their business. After starting life in-house, Matt moved agency side which is where he gained a majority of his experience. Whilst working for some amazing agencies, Circulate Digital, Evoluted and Rise at Seven, Matt worked with a huge range of clients, ranging from local businesses to nationwide and even international brands. During his career, Matt has taken a keen interest in technical SEO and reporting solutions through tools such as Looker Studio. With an interest in the more technical side of things, he loves working on more complex tasks, fixing some of the most technical aspects of SEO alongside building reports that give clients the deepest level of insights possible. Blending a mixture of in-depth SEO experience with his knowledge of development, Matt has been able to find solutions to issues that have been present for years and get around some of the more complex issues when it comes to reporting. In early 2022, Matt made the leap to freelancing and offering his services independently. Since then, he has worked with a range of companies, helping them from projects such as migrations and fixing specific issues, right through to running monthly retainers with clients in an effort to consistently grow their organic performance. Aside from SEO, Matt is incredibly passionate about freelancing and offering assistance to others who have made the same choice. In late 2022, he created and launched Freelancing Friends - a Slack community for freelancers in any aspect of the marketing industry. A place where individuals can ask questions, gain advice on running a business, share referrals for work they can’t complete and generally find other individuals to chat with on a daily basis. Freelancing Friends is aimed at improving the networking opportunities and general community of marketing freelancers, ensuring no-one feels as though they’re on their own working away. Since its inception in December 2022, the community has amassed over 200 freelancers from all over the world, covering all aspects of digital marketing!
