While TakeItOffline is a roundtable event, the team that manage it also work as marketing consultants and are always available for work. Tom Bourlet (Bourlet Consultancy) focuses on SEO and PR (contact [email protected] to enquire about potential work), while Gerry White is an SEO & Analytical expert, then Andy Veal the final member is a developer.
Rocket Mill
Running for over 10 years, Rocket Mill have performed well by employing staff of top quality. With Ben Garrity running the show, he has led them to their new location behind the station, next to Jury’s Inn. They’re focus is on SEO, PPC, Paid Social, CRO and Data, however with an increasingly expanding team they are constantly bringing new elements to their brand.
Jellyfish
Winner of the award for coolest name on the list, Jellyfish have offices all over the world, including Barcelona, London, New York, San Francisco, Madrid and…Well, Reigate. Located on Church Street, they have some grand scale clients, including the likes of Toyota, Skype, Experian, Mazda, Waitrose just to name a few. Right at the top you have Rob Pierre, Chris Lee, Mark Deeprose and Ed Ball.
Cobb Digital
Offering email marketing, paid media, content, social media and site optimisation, Cobb Digital has a strong focus on positivity and helping brands that are making a positive impact on the world. Relatively young compared to some of the names on the list, the business was started in 2013 by Tim Cobb and James Dempster as a healthcare agency. Plus I’ve heard wild rumours they have an office dog, not that I’m jealous at all.
AddMustard
Another brilliantly weird name for a digital marketing agency, but you tend to get used to them in Brighton. They focus their activities on SEO, Paid media, UX, design and social media, while they have some great staff members in house. In particular, Elliot Tyers is great! With the company growing quite significantly over the past few years, they have had some big names on their list, including the likes of Love Holidays, Easyjet holidays, Broadway Travel, The Adventure People, Travelzoo…Starting to notice a travel focus?
iCrossing
One of the biggest marketing companies in Brighton, they have offices based all over the world, including Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, USA, Italy, India, South Korea and China. Based on Black Lion Street, their local drinking hole is the Black Lion pub, where I remember meeting Gareth Evans and co for drinks after work (quick mention, Gareth is no longer there).
Site Visibility
Probably better known for their bi-annual event BrightonSEO, which has grown to become one of the biggest marketing conferences in the world, Site Visibility is where you’ll find Kelvin Newman when not on stage. If you do decide to go with them, keep your eye out for Scott Colenutt who definitely has a good head for SEO.
Bamboo Nine
For a year, I passed their office on the way to work, based on Upper North Street. With a mix of local clients and big brands, Bamboo Nine offer the whole digital marketing service, including PPC, SEO, Web Design, Email Marketing, Video and Social Media.
Boz Boz
This is the agency you want for design, with that being their core focus. That isn’t to say they don’t do all the other stuff, but I know they have a strong reputation for their design skills. You can find their offices on Richmond Place, just near the Level. Some of their clients have included Visit Brighton, Jeremy Paxman, Cats Protection and Real Patisserie.
